Moheli‚ the island of nature!

In addition to discovering a rare fauna‚ you will have the pleasure of enjoying an authentic contact with the population‚ landscapes still preserved and a destination away from major tourist flows. The beaches are beautiful and numerous‚ especially on the south coast‚ and you will often be alone there. The flora is lush and the original fauna. Several species are endemic to the archipelago including the famous livingstone bats‚ these huge bats are more than one meter wide and perfectly harmless.

Moheli is also known to be one of the main sites for nesting green turtles and breeding humpback whales. Tourists staying in hotels in Nioumachoua can rent a boat to go to the islets and hope to see the ballet of dolphins and the whales in the right season.
